Minimum wage

The lowest hourly, daily, or monthly remuneration that employers can legally pay their workers. This standard is established by statute or regulation to protect workers from exploitation and provide a basic living standard. In the United States, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) sets the federal minimum wage.
