Heirs of the body

Direct lineal descendants of a person, such as children, grandchildren, and so forth, but excluding collateral relatives like siblings or cousins. This phrase is often used in wills and deeds to limit inheritance to biological or adopted offspring. It creates a fee tail estate, which is restricted to the lineal descendants of the grantee.
