Intentional interference with contractual relations

A tort that occurs when a third party knowingly and improperly induces one party to a contract to breach that contract, causing damage to the other contracting party. This tort requires proof of a valid contract, the defendant's knowledge of the contract, intentional interference, and resulting damages. It protects the stability of contractual agreements.
