Midwest Piping Doctrine

A former labor law doctrine that required an employer to remain neutral and not recognize a union when two or more unions were actively competing to represent employees. This doctrine aimed to prevent employer interference in union elections. It was largely abandoned by the National Labor Relations Board in favor of other neutrality principles.
