Moral turpitude

Conduct that is considered inherently base, vile, or depraved, contrary to accepted rules of morality and good behavior. It involves an act of dishonesty, fraud, or depravity that is morally reprehensible. Conviction for a crime involving moral turpitude can have severe legal consequences, particularly in immigration law for deportation or inadmissibility, and in professional licensing.
