Mutual wills

Separate wills executed by two individuals, often spouses, that contain reciprocal provisions and are made pursuant to an agreement not to revoke them without the consent of the other. These wills are intended to dispose of property in a predetermined manner after the death of both testators. A breach of the agreement can lead to legal remedies for the intended beneficiaries.
