Negative will

A legal document or provision within a will that explicitly disinherits certain individuals or prevents specific assets from passing to particular heirs. This instrument serves to exclude designated persons from inheriting property that would otherwise pass to them by law or prior testamentary disposition. It must be clearly and unambiguously stated to be legally effective.
