Reciprocity

A principle in law where one jurisdiction grants certain rights or privileges to citizens or entities of another jurisdiction, provided that the second jurisdiction offers similar treatment. This concept underpins many international treaties and agreements. For instance, states often have reciprocal agreements for the recognition of professional licenses.
