Reckless

Describing conduct that involves a conscious disregard of a substantial and unjustifiable risk that a harmful result will follow. The actor is aware of the risk but proceeds anyway, demonstrating indifference to the potential consequences. This mental state is a higher degree of culpability than negligence but less than intentional conduct, often leading to criminal charges or enhanced civil liability.
