Secret rebate

An undisclosed discount or refund given by a seller to a buyer, often in violation of fair trade practices or anti-discrimination laws. These rebates can distort competition by giving preferential treatment to certain buyers over others. The Robinson-Patman Act in the United States prohibits certain forms of secret rebates.
