Specific denial
Term · Law · MLC-T-LAW-004621
A response in a legal pleading where a party explicitly refutes a particular allegation made by the opposing party. This contrasts with a general denial, which broadly denies all allegations. A specific denial requires the responding party to address each point individually, often paragraph by paragraph, to narrow the issues in dispute for trial.
