Spite fence

A fence or other structure erected on one's own property primarily for the purpose of annoying or harming a neighbor, rather than serving a legitimate use. Courts often consider the height, location, and lack of utility of such structures when determining if they constitute a nuisance. Many jurisdictions have laws or ordinances prohibiting the construction of structures solely for malicious purposes.
