Adiabatic saturation point
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003297
The temperature and humidity state reached by an air parcel when it is cooled adiabatically by evaporation of water into it until it becomes saturated. This process occurs without external heat exchange, and the latent heat of vaporization is supplied by the sensible heat of the air. It is a key concept in understanding wet-bulb temperature.
