Antenna
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003552
A device designed to transmit or receive electromagnetic waves, commonly used in meteorology for radar systems and satellite communication. Weather radars employ antennas to send out microwave pulses and detect the reflected signals from precipitation particles. The size and shape of an antenna determine its directional properties and operating frequency.
