Antitwilight arch

A broad, diffuse band of pinkish or purplish light seen above the eastern horizon at sunset or above the western horizon at sunrise. This atmospheric optical phenomenon is caused by the scattering of sunlight by dust and aerosols in the atmosphere. It is also known as the Belt of Venus.
