Aracaty

A cool, moist easterly wind that blows from the Atlantic Ocean over the coastal regions of northeastern Brazil, particularly in the state of Ceará. This nocturnal and early morning land breeze provides relief from the high daytime temperatures typical of the region. The aracaty is a local-scale circulation feature, strongest during the dry season from approximately August to November.
