Blowing sand

Sand particles lifted from the ground by wind to a height of at least two meters, impairing horizontal visibility. This phenomenon is common in desert environments and coastal areas with loose sandy surfaces. The sand particles are generally larger and heavier than dust, leading to a lower maximum height of suspension.
