Bubbles
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004061
Small pockets of gas enclosed within a liquid or solid, typically spherical in shape. In atmospheric science, bubbles are relevant in several contexts, such as air bubbles entrained in precipitation or ice, and the bursting of bubbles at the ocean surface. These phenomena contribute to the exchange of gases and aerosols between different environmental compartments.
