Cloud bank

A well-defined, persistent mass of clouds observed from a distance, typically appearing as a solid wall or layer with a distinct top and base. It is frequently seen over large bodies of water or along coastlines, such as a marine stratus layer or a fog bank. Unlike a cloud band, a bank does not necessarily have a long, narrow shape.
