Cloud condensation nuclei counter

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004416

An instrument designed to measure the concentration of cloud condensation nuclei (CCN) in the atmosphere. It operates by exposing an air sample to controlled supersaturation conditions, causing water vapor to condense onto the CCN, which are then detected and counted. These devices are used in atmospheric research to understand cloud formation processes and their role in climate.
