Comparative rabal
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004545
A method for determining the mean wind in a layer of the atmosphere between two specific pressure levels. It involves calculating the vector difference between the wind measured at the top of the layer and the wind measured at the bottom, based on radiosonde balloon (rabal) ascents. This technique provides a more detailed vertical profile of wind shear and advection than single-level wind reports.
