Radiosonde balloon

A large, unmanned, high-altitude balloon used to carry a radiosonde instrument package into the upper atmosphere. The balloon is filled with a lifting gas, such as helium or hydrogen, to ascend and collect data on temperature, pressure, and humidity. These balloons are designed to expand as they rise into lower pressure and burst at altitudes around 30 to 35 kilometers.
