Curie temperature
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004805
The critical temperature above which certain ferromagnetic materials lose their permanent magnetic properties and become paramagnetic. At this temperature, the thermal energy is sufficient to overcome the exchange interaction that aligns the magnetic moments. In atmospheric science, this concept is relevant to understanding the magnetic properties of dust particles and their potential influence on atmospheric processes.
