Curie temperature
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-001500
The specific temperature at which certain magnetic materials undergo a phase transition, losing their permanent magnetic properties and becoming paramagnetic. Above this temperature, the thermal energy is sufficient to overcome the alignment of magnetic moments. For iron, the Curie temperature is approximately 770 degrees Celsius.
