Droxtal

A microscopic ice crystal that forms in the atmosphere, characterized by its spherical or nearly spherical shape. These tiny ice particles are often found in very cold, high-altitude clouds where supercooled water droplets freeze rapidly. Droxtals are distinct from more complex ice crystal habits like hexagonal plates or columns.
