Fog dissipation

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005686

The natural process by which fog clears or breaks up, leading to improved visibility. This can occur through several mechanisms, including solar heating causing evaporation, an increase in wind speed leading to mixing with drier air, or a change in air mass. Radiation fog often dissipates shortly after sunrise.
