The Geostationary Earth Radiation Budget experiment, an instrument designed to measure the Earth's radiation budget from a geostationary orbit. It provides continuous observations of outgoing longwave radiation and reflected shortwave radiation over a large portion of the Earth's disk. Data from GERB contributes to understanding climate change and atmospheric energy balance.
