Gravitational head
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006037
The potential energy per unit weight of a fluid due to its elevation above a reference datum. In atmospheric science, this concept relates to the height of an air parcel in the gravitational field, influencing its potential to move vertically. It is a component of the total head in fluid dynamics equations, such as Bernoulli's principle, applied to atmospheric flows.
