Gregale

A strong, cold, and dry northeasterly wind that affects the central Mediterranean Sea, particularly Malta and Sicily. It forms when a low-pressure system develops over the Gulf of Sidra, drawing cold air from Eastern Europe. This wind can cause rough seas and is most prevalent during the winter months.
