Gust load
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006130
The transient aerodynamic force exerted on an object, such as an aircraft wing or a building, due to a sudden increase in wind speed. This force arises from the rapid change in dynamic pressure as a wind gust impacts the surface. Designing structures to withstand gust loads is a primary consideration in aeronautical and civil engineering.
