Harmattan

A dry, dusty trade wind that blows from the Sahara Desert across West Africa into the Gulf of Guinea during the winter months. This wind carries fine dust particles, creating a hazy atmosphere that can significantly reduce visibility and cause respiratory issues. It is characterized by low humidity and cooler temperatures than the prevailing tropical air masses.
