Homogeneous fluid
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006266
A fluid that has uniform physical properties, such as density, temperature, and composition, throughout its entire volume. In atmospheric science, this concept is often used as a simplification in theoretical models, though the real atmosphere is inherently inhomogeneous due to variations in temperature, pressure, and moisture. It contrasts with stratified or heterogeneous fluids.
