Hydrophotometer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010551
An optical instrument used to measure the attenuation of light as it passes through water. It quantifies the transparency or turbidity of water by determining the intensity of light transmitted over a known path length. This device is employed in oceanography and limnology to assess water clarity, suspended particulate matter, and the penetration of sunlight into aquatic environments.
