Photometer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007918
An instrument designed to measure the intensity of light or other electromagnetic radiation. It typically consists of a sensor that converts light into an electrical signal, which is then quantified. Photometers are used in atmospheric science to measure sky brightness, aerosol optical depth, or the intensity of specific wavelengths of light from the sun or sky.
