Infrasonic
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006548
Describing sound waves with frequencies below the lower limit of human audibility, typically less than 20 hertz. These low-frequency waves can travel long distances through the atmosphere and are generated by natural phenomena such as volcanoes, earthquakes, severe weather, and meteors.
