Lumped chemical mechanism
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007064
A simplified representation of complex atmospheric chemical reactions where individual species with similar reactivities are grouped together into a single surrogate species. This approach reduces the number of equations that need to be solved in atmospheric models, making computations more feasible. It is commonly used in regional and global air quality models.
