Microwave refractometer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007289
An instrument designed to measure the refractive index of the atmosphere at microwave frequencies. This measurement provides information about the atmospheric density, temperature, and humidity, as the refractive index is sensitive to these parameters. Microwave refractometers are used in atmospheric research to study radio wave propagation and to derive atmospheric profiles.
