Nonharmonic tidal analysis

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007576

A method for analyzing tidal records that does not rely on the assumption that tides are composed of a fixed set of harmonic constituents. This approach is used when tidal patterns are irregular or influenced by complex bathymetry and coastline geometry. It can provide a more accurate representation of tidal behavior in certain regions.
