Tidal glacier

A glacier that terminates in the ocean, where its front is subject to the influence of tides. These glaciers often calve icebergs directly into the sea, a process significantly affected by changes in sea level and ocean temperature. Many glaciers in Greenland and Alaska are tidal glaciers.
