Old Wives' summer

A period of unseasonably warm, dry, and calm weather that occurs in mid-autumn, often after the first frosts of the season. This phenomenon is characterized by clear skies and mild temperatures, providing a brief return to summer-like conditions before the onset of winter. It is analogous to an Indian summer in North America, occurring in late October or early November in Europe.
