Ozone isopleth plot

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007773

A graphical representation used in atmospheric chemistry to show the relationship between ozone concentration and its precursor emissions, specifically volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and nitrogen oxides (NOx). The plot displays contours (isopleths) of constant ozone concentration on a two-dimensional grid of VOC and NOx concentrations. This tool is used to identify emission control strategies for reducing ground-level ozone pollution.
