Ozonesonde

A specialized balloon-borne instrument package designed to measure the vertical distribution of ozone in the atmosphere. It consists of an electrochemical concentration cell (ECC) that reacts with ozone to produce an electrical current, which is then transmitted to a ground station. These devices typically ascend to altitudes of 30-35 kilometers.
