Pascal's law
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010656
A principle in fluid mechanics stating that a pressure change applied to an enclosed incompressible fluid is transmitted undiminished to every portion of the fluid and to the walls of its container. This law explains how hydraulic systems operate and is a foundational concept in fluid dynamics. It applies to static fluids, such as the atmosphere at rest.
