Pm-2.5

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007991

Fine particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter of 2.5 micrometers or less, which can penetrate deep into the lungs and even enter the bloodstream. These microscopic particles are primarily generated by combustion processes from vehicles, power plants, and wildfires. Due to their health impacts, Pm-2.5 levels are a key indicator in air quality forecasts and pollution alerts.
