Polar continental air

A very cold and dry air mass that forms over large landmasses in high latitudes, such as Siberia or northern Canada, during winter. It is characterized by extremely low temperatures, low humidity, and stable atmospheric conditions. When this air mass moves over warmer oceans, it can pick up moisture and become unstable, leading to snow showers.
