Primary circulation

The large-scale, global patterns of atmospheric motion that are driven by differential heating between the equator and the poles. This circulation includes features like the Hadley, Ferrel, and polar cells, as well as the major jet streams. It is responsible for the general distribution of temperature and precipitation across the Earth.
