Propeller anemometer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008181
An instrument designed to measure wind speed, consisting of a propeller that rotates at a rate proportional to the wind velocity. The propeller's rotation is converted into an electrical signal, providing a continuous measurement of wind speed. These devices are often mounted on meteorological towers or weather stations to monitor surface wind conditions.
