Vertical anemometer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009994
An instrument designed to measure the vertical component of wind velocity, indicating upward or downward air motion. Unlike standard anemometers that measure horizontal wind, vertical anemometers are specifically oriented to detect air movement perpendicular to the Earth's surface. These devices are often used in research applications to study atmospheric turbulence, convection, and boundary layer dynamics.
