Relative reduction
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008510
A measure of the decrease in a quantity expressed as a fraction or percentage of a baseline or reference value. In air quality studies, it quantifies the drop in pollutant concentrations resulting from emission control strategies, relative to a no-control scenario. For example, a policy might achieve a 30 percent relative reduction in ozone precursor emissions compared to the previous year's levels.
