Secondary circulation
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008736
A smaller-scale, thermally or mechanically driven atmospheric circulation that is superimposed on a larger, primary flow. These circulations include phenomena such as land and sea breezes, mountain and valley winds, and the transverse circulations within jet streams.
